How do I update the version of Campaign Status App

 

⚠️ Important Notice — Please Read Before Proceeding

Campaign Status updates are not automatically pushed to your Salesforce org.
When a new version is released on the Scheduled Upgrade Dates, you must manually install the update from the AppExchange.

🔧 Before Upgrading

It is essential that you:

1️⃣ Install the update in a Sandbox first
2️⃣ Test all key business processes
3️⃣ Only then proceed to Production

Once the app is upgraded in Production, if any processes fail, you will need to wait until our next scheduled release, which may be several months away. Testing in Sandbox protects your organisation from unexpected issues.

 

If you are on the free version of the App, upgrading means moving to paid one and this action is not reversable as explained in the following FAQ article
 

 

 

Steps to upgrade:

1. Navigate to App Launcher and select 'Visit AppExchange'

Click the 9 dots on the top right and then 'view all':

In the App Launcher click "Visit Appexchange":

2. Click Login on the AppExchange Home screen

 

Important: Please use the Salesforce option (NOT other forms of login) for the process below. 

On the Login screen put in your org's credentials. 

Note: You might need to complete a one time email verification for your connected Salesforce accounts.

 

3. Search and Open AAkonsult Campaign status

 

4. Click Get it now button

 

5. Login to App exchange

 

6. Select either Sandbox OR Production

Note: For upgrades, it is essential to install in sandbox FIRST and test your key business processes in Sandbox BEFORE installing in production. Once the app is in production and your processes fail, you will need to wait for the next release update from us which could be a few months.

 

7. Tick the Terms and Conditions checkbox then Confirm and upgrade!

 

8. Install package and specify the user details

 

9. Wait for it to complete and check Package version 

Goto Setup > installed packages  > Aakonsult Campaign status. It should match the version you downloaded from AppExchange i.e. for Dec 2025 release it will be 3.0.2501209

 

10. Post update steps - Assign permission sets to users using Campaign status

Ensure all users using Campaign status have one of the Campaign status Permission Set assigned

 

Goto Setup > Users > Click into user record > Scroll down to "Permission Set Assignments" and click 'Edit assignments

Now select the relevant Permission set from the following and click Add and save:

  • Campaign Status Admin User
    Assign this Permission Set to those users that will be maintaining the Campaign Status Default Status's OR will need to run the Mass Update processor
  • Campaign Status Std User (standard)
    Assign this Permission Set to users that will be creating or updating Campaigns.  These users will need this Permission Set in order to be able to create or update Campaign Status defaults.  Without this, the defaulting of new Status will not work and an error log would be created.
